Competition ion the friendly fields of strife we refer to as sporting events brings out the excitement and adrenaline in most of us. Participants envision themselves turning in larger than life performances, and we often use the imagery of majestic animals to encapsulate the sentiment. The way companies sell things to consumers is another area where the association of name, product and image is important to nurture. Vehicle lines are nearly as likely to select animals for their names as sports teams are. The reason is much the same, when we hear a car named a charger, the image generated is powerful and swift, both traits car manufacturers like.

The Jaguar is one of the big cats and is known as an apex predator. They are known to hunt deer, demonstrating its fleetness, crocodiles, demonstrating a significant ferocity, and animals many times its size, like tapirs or water buffalo, showing its strength. But it is its cool appearance, either in its spotted or rare black coats that draws the human eye.

The association with animals is what we consider extremely fascinating that draw us to watch animal shows on television as well as thrill at visiting them at the zoo. In the fantasy of our minds we hope the name of the vehicle will help it perform better, just as early man connected characteristics of inanimate object with things they knew and experienced in the wild. Modern man knows that the notion is silly, but it is popular never the less.

And so we look to the things that we can stretch the model vehicle around for as solid a fit as possible for each type of apparatus we create. We might name powerful boats with an aquatic them, speed indicated buy marlin or blue sharks, while power and tenacity by great whites. So when designing vehicles we want know for the safe and capable traverse of rough terrain in winter, animals like snow leopard or Mountain lion come to mind, thus you can find them at arctic cat Issaquah, just as you would expect.
