It is better to look for a used car that would be in a low risk category if you want to get cheaper insurance.

- Make a point of looking at some of the insurance companies that offer discounts. If you have special security equipment installed in your car, then you may be offered a discount by some insurance companies.

- It is harder to get cheap insurance if you have a driving offence behind you. If you look around though you should find something reasonable.
