Bentley prepares three new models: crossover, GT and sedan coupe
Bentley will expand its range considerably over the next five years. The British manufacturer will opt for a small GT, a crossover coupe and sedan.
Volkswagen is seeking to reorganize itself and adopt a series of policies within each brand profitable under his tutelage. Even Bentley would not be spared by this trend, the British will come to considerably expand their range.
Inspired by the success and the Continental GT’s lines, which effectively relaunched range, Bentley will seek to bring on the market some three new models in coming years.
The first proponent of the expansion of the British manufacturer of luxury GT model will be a relatively small size, the price of which would start from 105,000 euros. Athlete will be delegated to struggle with Maserati Gran Turismo SL63 AMG and Mercedes.
Bentley could benefit then from the brother of the group, Porsche, and its platform will be provided from the luxury crossover Cajun, expected on the market in the very near future. With this model, prices will start at 140,000 euros.
Finally, the British manufacturer’s range will accommodate the coupe and a sedan, developed on the basis of another popular model of the corporation, the German Audi A7. The engine range will be similar to the current engine from Continental GT.
Although reorganization is fast, Bentley will need some more time to elicit the above models and their launch is scheduled no earlier than year 2015. The British were quick to imagine the model lines using digital processing.
According to the producers found on working to a new episode of James Bond adventure, based on the novel “Carte Blanche”, the main actor in its missions will use the new Continental GT facelift, presented last fall at the Paris Salon. As the name suggested by the book, the copy star will be painted in white, but accessories specifically designed for James Bond, hidden under the bodywork, will currently remain a mystery.
